Restoration. The dictionary says it means: a return of something to a former, original, normal, or unimpaired condition.
Lamentations 5:21 says: “Restore us to Yourself, O Lord, that we may be restored.” That we may be returned to our original condition. Before sin destroyed us. Just think about that for a moment. Doesn’t your heart long for that day when we will be restored to our Lord?
I long for that day when we will have fellowship with the Lord face to face. Walking in the garden in the cool of the evening. Our former, original, normal and unimpaired condition. Won’t that bring joy to your heart?
You may have had a long week. It may have been filled with disappointments and failure. You may be tired or weary. Life has a way of wearing us down. Ministry is filled with good and hard and difficult. This week spend some time thinking about our restoration – of God restoring us to Himself. I thank the Lord for His restoration. He is working in my heart and yours.
Write in your journal, write a prayer, do a search on bible verses on restoration. Spend some time alone with the God who Restores and talk to Him about how your heart longs to be restored. Lamentations 5:21 tells us He will do it.
